We used to have such a perfectly executed schedule of events. Quad Park held its managers meeting the third Tuesday of each month, and we’d start practicing on the Sunday following. That usually gave us about six weeks to prepare for the preseason tournament in early to mid-April.
Unfortunately, with Quad Park gone, people are getting a little crazy. I think what’s happening is, other teams are calling around to secure their players, maybe earlier than they did in the past, and some of our guys hear about it (or are lightly recruited). So instead of relaxing and enjoying the snow outside, they get a little antsy, all because there isn’t a magical date of the manager’s meeting to kick things into motion anymore. (Coeur d’Alene has a managers meeting, but it’s not an event like Quad’s was.)
Really, we should do a Midnight Madness like in college hoops, and nobody should be allowed to talk about softball until then. We all get together at midnight, have a couple drinks, maybe hit some Nerf balls inside the bar, then after all that, the next day everyone is allowed to get crazy.
To make a long story short, unless I get called about a job Monday, team letters should be going out in the mail. I’ve decided to write in lieu of trying to get your attention in a pizza joint for a number of reasons, not least of which is that you’re mostly too loud to talk over.
I still have 7 years to go. Geez old men.
The first 35 are easy!
watch it i turned 35 last last nov
Hamburglar, I am pretty sure you would be eligible and if not you could be one of the ones who are under 35. Few and far between on this team.

Ron wants to know when and where. I told him to call Beck because I am sure he is in on it.
Christ, does that mean House is turning the big Four-Oh?

I think it’s 35+, but you can have one or two guys younger than that. Like I said, I’m just trying to cover all bases.
what is the age on the masters league
Okay, the coach is mean too. LOL
Art who?
Sean you are mean, just in case no one ever told you that before. LOL
DO NOT send one to Art lol!!!!
Have you considered the fact that maybe some of the guys like to talk about softball? And are just sick of snow being on ground and they like to be around each other so they use softball as an excuse.
