Gregg McCoy got in touch with me late last week, and I told him I’d help him spread the word about the Bomb’s Away tournament taking place in Moscow on May 30-31.
I’ll be checking on the O-fers (and I’m pretty sure we’re going), but if anyone from other teams is reading this blog and wondering about North Idaho tournament options, here you go.
Gregg says it’s a three-game guarantee for $225, and he hopes to run up to four different divisions. The home run rule is three more than your opponent, which seems fair considering most of the Moscow fields are pretty short, as I recall.
It should be worth the trip. Let’s get some fresh blood into these tournaments!

I think the Press posts standings occasionally in the fine print somewhere in their sports section. It’s not online anywhere that I know of. Maybe I should talk to Steve Anthony about sending them to me so we could post them here for everyone.
I don’t think so, In CDA they don’t seem to post that stuff. Unless maybe at Ramsey that it might be hung on that board over under the that stand by bathrooms. Honestly never looked. But if you take first place or last place the coach will tell you I am sure…….Ha Ha Ha….

Well ryan I am sure the guys would give you a beer if you wanted to come out and supervise their antics……..Or keep the beer cold for them……Of course doesn’t get really warm with this bunch. Just in case you get tired of sitting around on your duff.

From what I have been reading Vogel took all of his local tourneys out of town. It looks like he has a couple going on in Superior, MT and then he has one on 4th of July weekend in Moses Lake, WA.

I ruptured my patellar tendon and had to have reconstructive knee surgery in March so I dont get to play anything for about 9 months to year depending on how physical therapy goes. I’m hoping for return next year, but I have to wait and see.

I believe that was the tourny I desided I was going to buy a gazebo. Either tourny is fine with me. Lets just get into one that we can be competitive in.

There is also the USSSA tournament in Spokane Valley on June 6-7, I think. You’ll remember that one because we fit the animals two-by-two on the ark during game 3.
They are having two divisions I think. I followed the link and it looked that way.
If the tourny in June is split into two divisions that would be nice. It would at least give us a fighting chance. I’m not into getting our ass kicked around by upper classmen ( sorta speak )for three games on a summer weekend. Again though I’ll go for what the team wants to do. It would also be nice to do back to back tourny’s. The tits and beers on weekends are nice too!! HaHaHa..
And I vote for Moscow because there is a casino on the way…………Ha Ha Ha

Yes, its me my secret identity is out of the bag. So I am saying hi to everyone it sounds like everybody is still having a great time. Hopefully I will be able to get back on field next year and see everyone again…

My vote is for Moscow. I don’t see us having any chance at all with Rally Time being in the tournament. I for one ain’t ready for a meat grinder this early. Hopefully we have a better option to meet teams of our calibure in Moscow.
